Graduates earn 502 degrees from Springfield College-School of Professional and Continuing Studies

About 55.8 percent of the 502 degrees and certificates handed out by Springfield College-School of Professional and Continuing Studies in 2017-18 were to students in public administration and social service professions programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Springfield conferred 280 bachelor's degrees in public administration and social service professions programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in community organization and advocacy. Data shows the school gave out 280 bachelor's degrees in community organization and advocacy, followed by 79 master's degrees in mental health counseling/counselor and 51 master's degrees in organizational leadership.

The college enrolled 904 students for 2017-18, including 643 in undergraduate programs and 261 in graduate programs.
