At Westfield State University, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Westfield enrolled 6,100 students in fall 2018, including 5,382 in undergraduate and 718 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

91 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 9 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the 4,302 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 27 percent enrolled.
