68 percent of applicants to American International College were admitted for fall 2018

At American International College, 85 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Springfield enrolled 3,152 students in fall 2018, including 1,336 in undergraduate and 1,816 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

60 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 35 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (39 percent) and Black or African American (22 percent).

The school admitted 68 percent of the 2,411 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
