Census Bureau: More women than men in Chicopee in 2019

Of the 55,421 people living in Chicopee in 2019, 51.6 percent (28,606) were women and 48.4 percent (26,815) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Springfield City Wire.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 17,898-to-16,245. In the 65 and over age range, there were 5,535 females and 4,635 males.
