Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District sees 1% decrease in graduation rates over 2022-23 school year

Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District had a 94.5% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 1% lower than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 222 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 278 the year before.

Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District had the 74th highest graduation rate in the state.

Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District roughly covers schools within Hampden County and has a main office in Wilbraham.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
