Graduation Analysis: 1.5% more students graduated from Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School District in 2022-23 school year

Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School District had a 68.2% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 1.5% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 45 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 44 the year before.

Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School District had the seventh lowest graduation rate in the state.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
