Test Expectations: How many students met or exceeded math MCAS expectations in Monson Public Schools District in 2022-23 school year?

Of the 443 students who took part in the MCAS, 20.8% met the testing standard while 1.1% exceeded expectations, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The number of Monson Public Schools District students who met or exceeded expectations fell by 14.2% from the previous school year.

Monson Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Hampden County and has a main office in Monson.

In the 2022-23 school year, 467,110 students took the math test in Massachusetts with 196,011 students passing, 3.3% more than the year before.

According to a 2025 analysis from WalletHub, Massachusetts education system was considered the best in the nation, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
