There were 4,943 students enrolled in Holyoke Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.1% fewer than the year before, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.8% identified as male, 47.1% identified as female, and 0.1% identified themselves as non-binary or did not specify their gender.
